Our temporary housing division partners with landlords and property management groups across the country to provide flexible, customized temporary housing. We negotiate customized lease terms for displaced policyholders based on their expected repair time and additional living expense budget. Our team also coordinates furniture, housewares, and appliances, and, when appropriate, flexible, on-site housing in all fifty states. No matter what type of property we work with, ensuring our customers are cared for is always our number one priority.

Partner properties
Being a part of Sedgwick’s temporary housing network connects hotel managers and landlords to local residents and their families in need of emergency housing. Our temporary housing specialists work with hotels and short-term rentals to ensure corporate brands fulfill their responsibility to provide housing to their customers when they are displaced due to an accident or an insurance claim.

At Sedgwick, our passion for taking care of people goes beyond finding the ideal temporary housing. Our team is invested in working with local hotels and housing providers to help provide stability to communities in the wake of disasters.

Hotels
Whether it’s for one night or thirty, our team reserves hotel stays and manages billing so people displaced by disasters can avoid the upfront cost of temporary housing. We work with large national hotel brands and private nightly rental properties to ensure we provide quality options that meet the needs of our customers.

Housing
Our housing team has proprietary access to our short-term rental database and can assist with arranging temporary housing that fits each customer’s unique housing needs. We work with properties ranging from apartments and townhouses to single-family homes with amenities that match the lifestyle needs of our customers.

On-site housing
When displaced homeowners want to stay on their own property during repairs, we sometimes have the option of providing customized mobile housing options that are delivered to the loss site and set up for the duration of repairs.

Corporate housing
Apartment communities are often the most convenient option for families in metropolitan areas. We work with corporate housing providers and regional apartment communities to provide flexible, fully furnished housing options in every city across the U.S.

Our Hotel Process
  1. New Housing Request Submitted
  2. Sedgwick’s temporary housing division reaches out to policyholder to identify housing needs
  3. Sedgwick coordinates hotel stay within around fifteen minutes and provides policyholder check-in instructions
  4. Policyholder moves into hotel
  5. Sedgwick extends hotel stay as directed by insurer and assists with housing until move-out
