Travian Scott is a native of Atlanta, GA area. Travian joined Temporary Accommodations as an Accounting Specialist in 2015 and developed a sincere passion to help families in need. Prior to joining Temporary Accommodations, Travian graduated from Valdosta State University where she earned both her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance.
Travian began law school in 2016 while continuing to provide service at TA. Upon earning her Juris Doctorate in May 2019 from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School and earning her Georgia Bar License, Travian was promoted to In-House Counsel in January 2020. As In-House Counsel, Travian handles the drafting and reviewing of various contractual agreements, develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all legal matters, manages outside counsel, and the negotiation of future contracts. Having previous experience on the accounting team provided Travian with a detailed perspective of the company’s needs. Travian is a highly motivated individual, equipped with strong and effective legal research, drafting, communication and problem-solving skills.
During her legal studies, Travian worked as an intern for the Office of Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service in 2017 and 2018. As an intern, she assisted with various aspects of U.S. Tax Court litigation including discovery and trial preparation. Travian developed her knowledge in Intellectual Property Law, Family Law, Corporate and Business law while interning at two boutique law firms in the Greater Atlanta Area.
Her areas of interest in law include corporate and business law, contract law, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property law. Outside of her legal career, Travian has worked as a Claim Associate for State Farm Insurance and as a Substitute Teacher for Gwinnett County Public Schools. Travian enjoys volunteering, reading personal development books, and traveling with friends. Travian is excited to learn, grow and continue to flourish at Temporary Accommodations. She is a valued team player with a passion for people and the law.
